Governor Glenn Youngkin Announces Landmark Statewide Initiative to Catalyze Early-Stage Capital Investments in Virginia
New $100 million fund of funds program to bring financial and other value-added benefits to theGovernor Glenn Youngkin and the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (VIPC) introduced today a new initiative to stimulate economic development in the Commonwealth. Virginia Invests, an emerging fund of funds program, will catalyze over $100 million into 100+ high-growth Virginia startups led by 250 founders and entrepreneurs. The initiative is projected to stimulate more than $1 billion in outside co-investment, create 16,000 new high-paying job opportunities, and generate a 14x leverage in new portfolio companies over the next ten years.
